vol.7 From Zen to Zen - 禅から然へ。

The basic way of life, such as what to touch, how to live and how to stay healthy, is changing within me. I started to be aware of it in the summer, a few years before I started the brand. One day, when I was walking on the antique street, I found out and participated in a zazen kai on the day of the day called the zazen kai, which is a Monday zazen kai at the Eiheiji Betsuin. When I was in high school, I attended a school of Zen Buddhism and I had "Buddhist" time in one class every week, so Zen and Zazen are relatively familiar keywords. Zazen at high school was a surprisingly favorite time, and I liked the feeling of calmness and a refreshing feeling in my head. It's the same since I was an adult, and I have more thoughts than I did when I was in high school, but it gives me a sense of normality. It was a while, and Monday was Zazen's day.

When you do zazen, it is always said that you should not think about anything. Zazen is one of the disciplines of sitting in the state of "nothing". It's very difficult to tackle it because I don't think about anything in my daily life. When a lot of thoughts come up, the body moves freely. It is often said that the mind and body are connected, but when you do zazen, you can see how much you are now. However, when I repeat it many times, I get used to things I don't think about, and finally I forget about my existence. The feeling that comes out at that time is that "after all, I'm just part of the universe and nature." I get caught up in what is in front of me and become a self-centered thought, but there is a framework of the world, and I am thankfully living in a finite way while balancing in other living things and environments. I realize that.

Everything I usually work on, live, move, and receive is a cause and effect. As nature's providence has shown so far, a mechanism with a biased power balance puts a burden on somewhere. As a result, the mechanism itself will not continue. The relationship between nature and people cannot help but feel the bias that we have seen. But I don't say I don't eat meat at all or wear leather. It is important not to exploit what you need more than necessary. Do not overdo anything. I think that we should properly consider ways to give back. If you lose your balance, you will loop around and return to you. If you notice it, from the story of Zen to the story of people and nature... Let's fix the dullness of the rainy season with Zazen after a long time.
